This is a fusion project between flamenco and oriental (moroccan) music and dance. Flamenco dancer Ladina Bucher meets the oriental dancer Mirjam Sutter, flamenco musicians Esrin Sossai (vocals) and Daniel Portmann (guitar) meet oud player and singer Ahmed Elomari and the brothers Kamal and Taoufiq Essahbi. The fusion between those two styles comes in a very natural way, because flamenco was (amongst other styles) influenced by the music of the arab world. The interplay and complementary characteristics of the styles display the joy and way of life of the south.
